We believe that receiving more
than you imagine
begins with giving
everything you have.

So we listen to others, and gain an understanding of ourselves. We expose our vulnerabilities, and grow in our power. We share what we know, and expand our knowledge. We carry the burdens of our neighbors, and see our own loads lighten. We offer our friendship and get family in return.

By living this philosophy, we have created a movement. A group of like-minded people fixated on the strength of community and the potential in its alignment.

And the more people who join us,
the more seats open up at our table.

Come then,
glad or grieving,
whole or broken,
experienced or new,
terrified and brave.

Make your way here, whoever you are.

We have everything to give you.

One thing you’ll notice is how welcome you are.

That won’t go away. It’s important to us that everyone feels like this is a place to belong. We all come as we are and respect whatever that looks like. We support each other. We also support our communities and give everyone a chance to take part in that. In fact, any time you take a class here, you’re supporting the GIVE Yoga Fund, a program that increases access to the transformational power of yoga.

We look forward to meeting you.

Committed to a real and lasting difference.

Give Yoga [grand opening]-52_websize.jpg

GIVE Yoga is a Baptiste Yoga™ Affiliate Studio

Baptiste Yoga™ was founded in the 1940s by Walt Baptiste. Through his son and our teacher, Baron, it has evolved into not only a practice but a yoga movement inspiring a global shift.

The physical aspects of Baptiste Yoga™ have developed over the past 80 years and are inspired by the Hatha Yoga teachings of Krishnamacharya and his students Iyengar and Desikachar, whom Baron Baptiste studied with personally from a young age.

The Baptiste Yoga™ practice and programs, founded by Baron Baptiste, are designed to empower you with the focus, training and insight you need to achieve consistent results in the most important areas of your life.

It is the mission of Baptiste Yoga™ to make yoga accessible to anyone, from any background, looking for total physical, mental and emotional transformation. It is for everybody, no matter what level of fitness. It is purposefully challenging and active so that it can catapult students from wherever they are right now to whole new thresholds of physical and mental power.

Baptiste Yoga™ is an intuitive practice, one that does not enforce any set of absolute rules. This style of yoga follows the natural laws of the body, which dictate balance and counterbalance, control and surrender, pose and repose, adaptation and acceleration. Students get all the benefits of the more traditional methods while still leaving room for creativity and play.

Baron Baptiste has devoted his life to creating and sharing transformational yoga practices and programs. He shares the Baptiste Yoga™ methodology through workshops, books, yoga teacher trainings and his continued work with the Baptiste Foundation and Africa Yoga Project.

As a Baptiste Affiliate Studio, GIVE Yoga is committed to sharing Baptiste Yoga in ways that make a real and lasting difference in the lives of the people in our community. As one of 170+ Affiliate Studios across the globe, we look forward to sweating, crying and laughing with you on the mat!

Our Purpose as a Baptiste Yoga Affiliate Studio

There is an urgent problem where people are stuck in being resigned, cynical, numb, and living in ways that promote chronic disease. They are just drifting along.

Therefore, The Baptiste Institute and Baptiste Yoga exist to disrupt the drift. We awaken and empower human beings to live in wholeness and full potential as a moment to moment experience.

We support the masses in discovering their purpose and provide structures to follow it. We are here to alter what is possible for ALL people.

In 2016, lululemon committed to launch Here to Be, a community-based social impact program to create access to the healing benefits of yoga in communities that routinely experience chronic stress as a result of trauma, illness, socioeconomic status, or ongoing adversity. In partnership with United Nations Foundation, Africa Yoga Project, Yoga Foster, LoveYourBrain, Give Back Yoga Foundation, and Yoga Service Council, Here to Be will impact the lives of at-risk youth, victims of violence and conflict, people affected by illness or disability, and first responders/aid workers.

Here to Be is designed to fund initiatives that create access to yoga service programs and build a community of practice among nonprofits, academics, and public sector institutions that are developing and applying yoga service programming (source).

As a lululemon Columbus Ambassador, Leah Westwater is the Here to Be partner and through the GIVE Yoga Fund is committed to sharing yoga and meditation as powerful tools to create individual well-being and build greater health, resilience, and community for all people.
